The Institute of Molecular Medicine (IMM) is part of a groundbreaking research partnership in Molecular Medicine between Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin and Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. IMM represents Trinity College Dublin in this unique collaboration, spearheaded by the Dublin Molecular Medicine Centre.
Situated on the St James’s Hospital campus, IMM is a 4,500 m² state-of-the-art facility dedicated to research into the molecular basis of human disease. This multidisciplinary research institute was completed in early 2003 and currently houses 19 research teams consisting approximately 130 residents. IMM was officially opened on November 7th, 2003 by the Minister for Education & Science, Noel Dempsey, TD.
